Having closely watched Tata’s EV strategy evolve, it’s clear their timing is strategic. The popular Tata Punch EV, which has been on sale for over a couple of years, will receive a timely facelift. Tata Motors will introduce this updated Tata Punch EV Facelift to the Indian market on February 20, 2026, bringing it in line with the ICE Punch facelift that went on sale last month. This refresh could not have come at a better time, considering its sustained popularity, and it is set to receive crucial visual and feature updates.
Tata Punch EV Facelift: Staying Ahead of the Curve
Observing the test prototypes, the key mission for Tata Motors is clear: to keep the Punch EV facelift fiercely competitive in an ever-growing segment. The 2026 model is expected to get a noticeable visual refresh, with revised front and rear bumpers and updated lighting elements. We’ll likely see a connected LED tail lamp setup, similar to the ICE version, though some revisions specific to the EV are highly possible.
From my analysis, its signature EV design elements, like the front-mounted charging port, connected LED Daytime Running Lights, and aero-styled alloy wheels, are more likely to be carried forward. However, the closed-off grille could see a makeover. Most notably, judging by the prototypes, Tata Motors could introduce an ADAS package on the Punch EV for the first time as well, a major step for the model.

Tata Punch EV Facelift: Enhanced Cabin & Mechanical Prospects
Stepping inside the cabin, the overall dashboard and centre console layout could see minor enhancements, though the real news is the tech. Tata Motors could upgrade the infotainment system by offering a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen unit, similar to the one seen on the Nexon EV. Key features like the 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, a 360-degree camera system, and wireless connectivity are expected to continue, making the equipment list reminisce In more ways than one, it’s similar to the latest IC-engined Punch.

On the mechanical front, the Punch EV facelift may receive notable changes, which is crucial as it would be among the very few sub-4m electric SUVs in India to feature such advanced driver assistance systems if offered.

Tata Punch EV Facelift: Power and Pricing Outlook
In terms of pricing, the Punch EV facelift is expected to cost a bit more than the current model. The current electrified Punch is priced between Rs. 10 lakh and Rs. 14.4 lakh (ex-showroom), but more details, including variant-wise features and final prices, will be revealed at the time of the launch later this month.
