Enhanced Suzuki Access Launched with ABS in India

Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched an important update to its best-selling Access scooter, now featuring a single-channel anti-lock braking system (ABS). This update focuses on improving rider safety by enhancing the response of the brakes for more confident everyday riding.

With this addition, the scooter comes at a starting price of Rs 92,328 (ex-showroom), going up to Rs 98,378 (ex-showroom) for the top variant that also includes a TFT screen. All while retaining the reliable basics of the scooter, it remains equipped with Suzuki’s reliable 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor coupled to a CVT gearbox.

This engine produces 8.43 bhp (6.2 kW) at 6,500 rpm and generates 10.2 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. With these specifications, the Access competes against key rival models like the Honda Activa 125, TVS Jupiter 125, Hero Destini 125, and Yamaha Fascino 125.

    Dimensions, Features, and Colour Options

The scooter is built with practical dimensions that aid its everyday use, featuring a wheelbase of 1,260mm, a ground clearance of 160mm, and a kerb weight ranging from 105 to 106 kg depending on the variant. It is fitted with durable alloy or cast wheels and features a handy 5.3-litre fuel tank, balancing functionality perfectly for city commutes. All of this remains consistent across the range.

For the standard version without the TFT screen, buyers have a wide array of colour options to choose from, including Metallic Mat Black No.2, Metallic Mat Stellar Blue, Pearl Grace White, Solid Ice Green, and Pearl Shiny Beige. Meanwhile, the relatively expensive iteration of the scooter equipped with a TFT screen comes in a more exclusive palette: Mat Stellar Blue, Pearl Grace White, Solid Ice Green, and Pearl Mat Aqua Silver.

    Launch Offers and Executive Commentary

To significantly improve the ownership experience and make the new Access with ABS more accessible, Suzuki is providing some very appealing financing options. These deals feature interest rates as low as 6.99 percent with no processing fees. Moreover, as part of a launch promotion, 10 lucky winners from every state will have the opportunity to receive vouchers valued at Rs 5,000.

Commenting on this significant launch, Kenichi Umeda, the Managing Director of Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd., said that with the addition of this ABS variant, the company is expanding the range of choices within the Access family, enabling customers to select a variant that best aligns with their riding preferences. He added that they remain committed to introducing new and relevant products that meet evolving customer expectations.
