Ultraviolette F77 & X-47 has done something clever instead of locking you into one fixed cost, they give buyers the flexibility to pay a lower asking price upfront, with the battery available separately. This means the subscription price starting at ₹2,499 per month or roughly ₹2.5 per km becomes your gateway to ownership without the heavy initial hit.

BaaS makes the Ultraviolette F77 & X-47 more affordable than ever before

The Bengaluru-based manufacturer, Ultraviolette, has introduced battery-as-a-service (BaaS) across its electric motorcycles  the F77 and X-47 making both offerings far more accessible to everyday customers. Having followed these bikes closely, the UV Battery Flex program genuinely changes the game by removing the battery cost from the equation, so you only pay for the electric bike itself. The Ultraviolette X-47 now carries an affordable starting price of ₹1.49 lakh, while the Ultraviolette F77 is available from ₹1.99 lakh onwards under the BaaS program bringing serious performance within reach without the heavy price burden upfront.

Ultraviolette has partnered with Ecofy, a green-focused non-banking financial company (NBFC), to bring battery financing through Battery Flex giving buyers the flexibility to pay a lower asking price for the F77 and X-47, with the battery available separately. The subscription price starting at ₹2,499 per month or ₹2.5 per km means the reduced upfront cost brings these bikes down by nearly 40 per cent, and what makes it even better is that at the end of the subscription period, the battery ownership gets transferred to the customer at no additional cost, making BaaS genuinely worth considering.

    Pricing DetailAmount
Ultraviolette X-47 Starting Price (BaaS)₹1.49 lakh
Ultraviolette F77 Starting Price (BaaS)₹1.99 lakh
    Battery Subscription Price (Per Month)₹2,499/month
    Battery Subscription Price (Per KM)₹2.5/km
Ultraviolette Previous Price (Before BaaS)₹2.5 lakh
    New Price After BaaS₹1.5 lakh
    Operating Cost Per Month₹2,499/month
    Cost Reduction Under BaaS~40%

Ultraviolette’s CEO and co-founder, Narayan Subramaniam, puts it well at ₹2.5 lakh. Previously, the brand was priced similarly to ICE motorcycles with comparable power, but now at ₹1.5 lakh, riders get access to superior technology, features, and performance that outpaces every segment. With operating costs as low as ₹2499 per month less than average spends on petrol — this redefines affordability in motorcycling. From my own experience tracking electric two-wheelers, few brands have made technology-driven mobility this attainable and practical across India, all while keeping the thrill of riding an Ultraviolette firmly intact.

Powertrain & Battery Options: No Compromise on Performance

Ultraviolette’s CTO and co-founder, Niraj Rajmohan, emphasizes that years of research and development have gone into making sure their batteries are at the core of every electric car they manufacture deliver on performance, safety, and longevity, and Battery Flex is simply that innovation reaching customers in a way that is both flexible and accessible.

What I find genuinely impressive is that despite this pricing commitment, the UV F77 and X-47 see zero compromise on the powertrain both bikes carry a PMS motor tuned to around 40 bhp and 100 Nm of peak torque, with battery options that include a 7.1 kWh Standard variant offering a claimed range of 211 km, while the Recon steps up with a 10.3 kWh unit pushing 323 km on a single charge — proving that technology can adapt to customer needs while keeping performance mobility genuinely practical.
