The story really begins in Chennai, where Raptee.HV, a Chennai-based electric motorcycle manufacturer, has officially commenced customer deliveries of its Raptee.HV T30 model. After seven years of research and validation, the brand has finally begun delivering in its first operational market, marking a clear shift from product validation to full-scale retail operations. I’ve followed emerging EV brands closely, and this move from testing to real-world operations tells me the company is confident about its performance, reliability, and long-term service readiness in the city.

What stands out is how the T30, priced at Rs 2.39 lakh (that’s 2.39 lakh), is designed around the company’s HV-Tec high-voltage architecture, often referred to as HV-Tec high-voltage architecture. This based-in-Chennai rollout is supported by active delivery and infrastructure, ensuring the brand’s ecosystem is fully active from day one. As someone who has seen many EV launches struggle without proper backend support, the structured approach here feels deliberate and well thought out.

    Market Rollout and Engineering Focus

With a clear phased expansion strategy, Raptee.HV will enter Bengaluru in April 2026, setting up a dedicated showroom and authorised service centre as it prepares to expand across major South Indian state capitals and begin operations in Western India by the end of the year. The company states that the start of deliveries follows over seven years of research and validation, which explains the confident market push. The Raptee.HV T30, also known simply as the T30, is priced at Rs 2.39 lakh ex-showroom, placing it firmly in the premium yet practical space of the electric motorcycle segment.

What makes this performance machine stand out, in my view, is how it is built around a high-voltage architecture, branded as HV-Tec, and derived from electric car platforms—something rarely seen at this level. The 5.4 kWh battery pack works with an electric motor producing 29.5 hp and 70 Nm of torque, giving the motorcycle a strong and smooth character on the road. Being positioned as a serious contender in its class, the overall package feels engineered with intent rather than hype.

    Charging Convenience and Ownership Support

The Raptee.HV T30 stands out not just for performance but for everyday ease of use, and in my experience, that matters more in the long run. A real key highlight is its compatibility with the CCS2 charging standard, enabling the motorcycle to use India’s public DC fast-charging network, which is typically meant for electric cars.

The company claims a 20–80 percent charge time of 36 minutes with a DC fast charger, while the onboard home charger can give a top-up in a little over an hour. Beyond charging, Raptee.HV has outlined a strong ownership package that includes a dedicated single point of contact (SPOC) for service and roadside assistance support through an authorised partner, along with an 8-year battery warranty and a 3-year vehicle warranty for the T30, adding real peace of mind for daily riders.
