In the Indian market for December 2025, the Hero Splendor continues its dominance as the undisputed top-selling two-wheeler.
The Indian two-wheeler market is firing on all cylinders, as data for December 2025 confirms it continues its strong uptrend. This surge is perfectly illustrated by the performance of the top 10 highest-selling models, which clocked an impressive cumulative sales figure of 10,49,549 units. When compared to the 7,36,372 units sold in December 2024, this translates to a remarkable 42.53% YOY growth, accounting for a significant chunk of the overall expansion and showcasing the sector’s rapid pace of recovery and growth.
The Unmatched Leaders
At the pinnacle, the Hero Splendor once again continues its undisputed reign over the two-wheeler segment, bagging a massive 2,80,760 units and registering a strong 45.90% YOY growth. The second spot is firmly occupied by the Honda Activa, which solidifies its position as the best-selling scooter in the country by recording sales of 1,81,604 units in December 2025. Its performance was even more impressive, with its YOY sales growth rate stood at a staggering 50.11%.
The Strong Contenders
It is closely followed by the Honda Shine, with its sales bar standing at a robust 1,41,602 units, marking a solid 40.42% growth over the previous year’s 1,20,981 units. TVS secures a strong position in the top ranks, landing at number four as its well-liked Jupiter model sells 1,20,477 units and posts a solid 35.87% yearly growth, highlighting the fierce rivalry among brands.

The Complete Top 10 Breakdown
Further down the ranking, trailing behind the high-volume models, the Bajaj Pulsar secured its place with 79,616 units in the bag, showing a steady 21.42% YOY growth. The Access stood out as the only Suzuki model that made the coveted list, registering sales of 69,622 units in December 2025. Meanwhile, the Hero HF Deluxe stands at the seventh position, recording sales of 49,051 units, though it saw the slowest pace of expansion with a 17.59% YOY growth.
The last 3 spots in the top 10 highest-selling two-wheeler list were all occupied by TVS Motor Company. The utilitarian XL led this charge, managing to sell a solid 46,133 units. It was followed by the sporty Apache, which truly stole the show by posting the highest YOY growth of an incredible 117.89%. The Apache’s sales bar stood at 45,507 units, a massive leap up from the 20,885 units it achieved in December 2024.

The Electric Standout and Brand Rankings
Marking a significant shift, the TVS iQube emerged as the only electric two-wheeler on the list, recording sales of 35,177 units. This figure represents a massive jump of 75.86% from the previous year. It’s important to note that this also cements the iQube’s position as the top-selling electric scooter in the Indian market, highlighting the growing acceptance of EVs.
Overall, the list of highest-selling two-wheelers in the country was dominated by the top five manufacturers: Hero Motocorp, Honda, TVS, Bajaj, and Suzuki. Amongst these giants, TVS stood out with the highest cumulative YOY growth of 52.10%. It was followed by Honda and Hero, registering strong YOY growth figures of 45.70% and 40.90%, respectively, showcasing a fiercely competitive and growing industry.
